You didn't hear about the controvesy surrounding his jesus movie where he upset the jews because they killed jesus and they were not happy about it. Also he was arrested a while back and started ranting about jews. Also he is known for moaning about jews owning and running hollywood etc.

`Oven dodgers' lol, not heard that one before. It does sound like Joe Eszterhas is trying to hide the fact he wrote a poor script. Warner Bros wouldn't ditch a movie they thought would make them money just because Mel Gibson told them to. Script is a script, anyone can write a story about The Maccabees and sell it to any other director/film studio.

If the script was any good then Warner Bros would have replaced Mel Gibson as director if they thought he was intentionally sabotaging it because of anti-Semitism.

It seems more likely that Mr Esterhas wrote a poor script and both Mel Gibson and the Studio executives agreed that it was a load of tat.....
