Makes more sense than an explosion. You hear sonic booms from military aircraft all over Eastern Europe some at low level which are ******* loud and shake the windows, but I think they're more relaxed about letting the military do Mach 1+ overland over there (plus no Ocean to do it over).
Edit: They just mentioned it at the end of BBC Points West and said they'd investigate.
