*** League of Legends ***

Twitch is a a lot like Shaco. He will punish players who get careless.

I've played twitch a fair bit in the past before and he definitely works as a jungler. Problem is he is quite dependant on blue and as the game gets drawn out he becomes weaker. Still quite a hoot to play though :)

As for underrated AD's, you don't see tristana played an awful lot which I've always found strange. She has a very nice burst come level 6 and becomes insanely strong late game with that 90% AS buff on her Q.

Really looking forward to Varus, looks pretty bad ass!

I used to quite enjoy Trist mid but I find her ult is a pain. She's ranged so the chances of her getting into a position to use it offensively is slim. She can jump into the fight but then ger escape mechanic is on CD for if she needs it (and she will if she's in the middle of the enemies). It's alright for escaping but if you need to escape, you've already lost the team fight.

I'm looking forwards to both the new champs, gonna buy them both right away ^^

She is one of the best late game team fighters as far as I'm concerned. Highest range auto attacks out there couple with AS buff makes her formidable in every aspect. Especially pesky when sieging their towers.

Her ulti is a bit of a pain but the point is it changes it's role through the game. Early on you use it as a nuke or do your usual rocket jump combo and push the enemy back into your jungler whilst laning. Also late game it effectively gives her more escapes. What I mean is their bruisers are likely going to try target you straight away, ulti them to push them back and from that point on you've still got your rocket jump available and possibly flash depending on how kind the timing of the fight for you is.

All in, it's just plain difficult for a team to stop you from outputing damage which I guess is pretty essential for carries :)

Do you guys tend to buy new champs with IP? I find I don't really buy new champs as people coming on rotation amongst my roster keep my interests. Even after 18months playing this game I haven't played every champ and also still enjoy revisiting people I haven't played in a long time.

She does some fearsome damage, it's true, I just think that other champs offer better damage or more utility. She's not useless though by any means. :)

I'll be buying the two new champs with RP. I bought a load when I started playing my EU account (only a week or two ago) so I could buy one of the champ packs and a couple extra champions to get me going. I still have about 1400RP left so I can buy one and then top up my RP for the other. I only have about 3k IP and I'm saving them for runes when I hit 20.

Really enjoyed my games last night thank you for a very good game to McKnight, lolly, bake, express for the first one some very nice team work, mcknight as scion was very impressive but tbh all the team played very well (mcknight and express didn't die which is part of the trick in this game). Second game I went out of my comfort zone with gangplank (those who know me will know this is well outside of what I play) went very tank plank - probably didn't need two warmogs :), next time will swap one for frozen heart but all went well. Was playing against a reasonable poppy but the tanking aspect of gp went well and although as a team we made a couple of critical mistakes mid game moving into final play we turned it round brilliantly to again do a nice win - thanks to torq, vortex, blackfriar and wah wah. All in all a very enjoyable gaming evening which is what this game is all about :)

You did well as tankplank the other day bro.

:) Thank you - tbh though I cost you guys that particular game. As gp you tend to feel a bit god like - so me jumping into the enemy and dieing at the stage of the game was a really bad call at that point and cost the team imho :( Score looked good at the end but that bad call was really bad timing on my part :(

Last night I was more cautious :)

Thanks for the games guys, was great fun. Sorry for my shifty start on Teemo, I didn't think about it until we were in the game but I'm not a great top laner anyway and I haven't played Teemo in a long time so definitely not a good combo. I like to think I got a few useful blinds off and slows with my mallet, especially on that nutty Ali. ^^

Udyr was much better, I'm still not a great top but at least I know the champion to an extent. That fight near baron in the last game was epic, Galio's ult dragging them all in then chain bear stancing them all was fun. ^^ I don't think they managed to get more than a couple of hits on us.

What do you guys do to counter Shen? He's a champion that I consistently have problems against. He seems to be fairly weak early game and I get a false sense of security, then at about lvl5-6 he suddenly seems to take about half damage from the previous levels. He's a champion I can't ever seem to play well either so I'm really clueless on him.

Generally I play jungler but without runes and masteries I'd fall behind playing with you guys, else I'm ok at Soraka but I don't have her on my EU account (I'll probably have to fix that since she's only 450ip). ^^

If anyone sees I'm doing anything wrong, please don't be afraid to tell me, I'd rather improve than play badly. :) I know my first game was bad but I hope I showed a bit of promise on Udyr. I'll try playing solo top more when I'm solo queue so I can get used to it more too.

Thombassmonkey>Ahh right so you are the Meepster who was Udyr. I was the Sona and Pink Taric.

That clairvoyance lit them up like a xmas tree. But as bad as I play, I knew that play was going to happen. They clear the ward so you go to put a new one down and the plan is to ambush you.

I got to have a word with that Galio about 'For the Hoarde'. Truthfully he made the correct play but I was that close to flash stun in...

As to your question about Shen I am not sure. I consider Shen and Lee sin to be two of the strongest champs in the whole game right now let alone solo top.

If I have to go solo top and believe me if you thought my support was bad you haven't seen me at solo top:)

Possibly Yorick, Warwick. I would say Irelia but I am not sure where she stands now after the last patch nerfs.

You played badly? I didn't think it was as bad as you think it is and nowhere near as bad as when I flashed ult and got bakecake killed.

McKnight>So after 1 year I get to have a game with you. Next target...Tals:)

:) I need to add your lol name into my friends list, I have so many that I tend to forget who ties into what.

Even now after 2+ years of playing the game I always learn when I play with McKnight he has a very good awareness of the game flow and map - always a pleasure.

You've caught me at a good time though, after spending 2 years locked in the bottom lane I am finally venturing out. Been playing top lately.

I played gp last night, the other team played vlad who then proceeded to absolutely decimate me. I since learnt I should have been more aggressive early game but he was a night mare, poke, poke, poke, ult, onto tower, pool - ignite dead.

I then tried teemo top and played against Garen. Much more pleasurable, blind, and poison mucking up garens flow quite nicely. Jungle as gangplank was moving around nicely and kennel in mid also came at opportune times giving us our win. Which was lucky as our bot lane were truly awful - which was bad because they had no idea and went away after the game with no idea that they were.

I don't own Yorick or Irelia (on either accounts). WW seems pretty nice top but I don't really enjoy him, I never seem to get the most out of him.

I bought Riven again last night now she's on sale so there's another option. I need some practice first though. :)

I recently picked up Irelia and she is still a pretty good Solo top. I had my ass handed to me by a Yorick but that was my own fault. From what I've been told she is not like she used to be, but i've found her fun too play.

WOOP i have finally ended my loosing streak haha. i wanted to play a support and gave Lulu ago and i loved it. i didnt get any kilss but only died twice with 16 odd assists. i was really suprised with her i fort i wont enjoy her but did lol :p

Been giving Ashe a go for the last few ranked games and beein doing very well. I did try her AGES ago when I first started but failed miserably which was probably down to the fact I was relatively new and inexperienced with AD carries. She is such a good champion though! Lacking in damage somewhat but her utility makes her amazing... Landing an arrow in top lane which was shot from bottom lane and ensuring a couple of kills for the team is brilliant.

Ugh, that arrow yesterday where I'd gone back to top turret and Ashe killed me with an arrow from bot xD Great guesswork from her.

I'm surprised you think her damage is lacking though, she has good damage IME.

Late game her damage is on par with other champions but early game she is out damaged in my experience.

Yeah I find she needs to be played safe early and farm away.once she has an IE and a PD I tend not to have any problems unless the opponent is fed.SHe is just great for initiTiating with ulti and her q is perma slow so no escaping unless they burn flash.
I'm tempted to change my ad rune page as I run armor pen at the moment.thinking of running with some flat ad dmg for early game.

@ rogueblade .I love playing KArthus he can be great fun and usually annoys the enemy team.
I'm looking forward to the rune changes in the next patch as it will make him better early game with them buffing the flat ap runes and nerfing the Mr runes

I run flat AD quints and reds with my carries. Makes last hitting and poking early game so much better. I get a last whisper later on if I need the armour penetration.

Vlad is really strong at the moment. Something to consider vs him as GP is to max W to negate some of his poke. I keep meaning to get back online but I find so little time at the moment. Maybe next week or even Saturday night.
