Charlie Sheen's New Show

Slightly off topic, but what is Two and a half men like without Charlie?

I used to watch it occasionally and can't really imagine what it's like without him?

Not half as funny. It's not really Ashton Kutcher's fault either, he was always funny in 'that 70's show' but the 2 and half men writers seem to have lost it now they don't have Sheen to write for.
I don't watch the show now but I did when Sheen was in it - he was the funniest part of the show. Crazy executives firing him and now poor Ashton Kutcher is back making TV instead of movies.

No idea what happened with 2.5 men, it wasn't brilliant before, it was mindless tv that was fairly watchable even if too cringeworthy at times. They've made the show way way more about the brother, who is most of the reason to cringe in the show. I wouldn't be surprised if a couple of the main/best writers left the show based on how truly awful it is in comparison now. Kutcher is complete gash in it though, big pay check, rubbish writing.

Would be interesting to see if Sheen can be anything like normal again after his major flip out.

I think it sounds like a good idea :) Could be good, could be a train wreck like his stage show :p

2 and a half men is still okay without Charlie, but it'll never be quite as good without him :(

Hope this is better than the awful Two and a Half Men but I highly doubt it.

We'll see I guess.

Tbh i preferred 2 and half men with Sheen in it...Ashton as much as i like him just doesnt seem to fit the bill really. At the moment its Alan whos the funniest one out of all of them...the kid Jake is not that funny either.

Crazy decision by the producers of 2 and half men to get rid of Sheen, he made the show what it was.

Looking forward to Anger management...hopefully Sheen will be back on form.

I agree 2.5 men is not as good without Charlie as it was with him.

Although I still enjoy watching it, and find it funny.

But the main reason is Zoe..can't remember her real name but damnnnnn she is just unbelievably hot...would love to eat her! :D

Rubbish, it was ok to begin with but the whole dynamic is off and I've stopped watching it. It was one shark jump too if you ask me.

It's a travesty. I quit watching it after the 10th episode of the new series. Ashton Kutcher plays Walden Schmidt pretty much as Kelso from That 70's Show. It's as if he cannot decide what he wants the character to be and it's sorely showing.

It's totally unfunny with too many new characters that spoiled the integrity of what it once was. Jon Cryer (Alan) are actually carrying the show quite well but he doesn't have that star quality that makes me want to tune in every week. You rarely see Jake, Bertha, Judith or the mother any more.

At least we have 8 great season in the bank to watch. Sheen was really funny in that roll.

Ashton is flat. He's flat and samey throughout his entire career, he's just one of those actors that play themselves. And in two and half men he's Ashton with Seinfeld syndrome. And by that I don't mean that he's funny, but like Seinfeld, he cannot escape self awareness and he grins and twitches in anticipation of punch line almost every single time. Even in the most random conversation, you now know "lol" is coming from mile away because Ashton cannot help himself and starts making faces.

The show is practically carried by Alan and Jake, and as expected its literally hanging off the cliff by fingernails. Jon Cryer's character with the usual hapless nervous "masturbadores compulsivos" nerd routine is a classic sidekick role. You cannot base show around such persona because a) we've been watching him embarrass himself and serve as punchbag for better part of decade now, so lead likability is just not in cards at this point b) watching such character for too long becomes tiresome. Unless they introduce another tennant/star to the show, it's dead. I can't imagine another season of just Kutcher being Kutcher and "Alan Harper" making endless jokes about Kutchers manhood.
