I bought a used Shuttle SN45G recently. But somebody along the chain failed big time as the Shuttle has been nuked

I am annoyed with how it was not packed properly let alone not in a box. The shuttle along with normal sized atx psu were wrapped seperately in a thin layer of bubblewrap then both were put into a shipping bag (the thin plastic stuff with no protection) and I did ask the seller to make sure it was packed well so things would not get bashed about but sticking it into a bag lol, massive facepalm lol.

So it arrives at my door in a right state, bag is full of holes, black marks etc. I managed to peer inside one of the large holes and find the shuttle has took a massive beating, front hanging off and the chassis all twisted up. I am amazed nothing fell out lol.

Im awaiting a response but was I right to refuse delivery? Or was I ment to accept it then sort it? Ive never had to refuse anything like this before.

Aww man I seem to be failing at life

Send an email asking for a refund to the seller, if they refuse then log a case with ebay and get a refund that way. The seller then has to log a case with the courier/post company and take the hit when they tell them to pack it properly next time.

Sorted.

I had a replacement fog light for the gf's car shipped to me by a scrapyard earlier this week and they only wrapped it in a layer of bubble wrap; the big chunky stuff but I still couldn't believe it wasn't in a box!

Thankfully it arrived in one piece..more luck than anything else!

That reminds me of a fuel level sender unit I ordered from an Ebay BMW breaker.
You know the type with lots of spindly bits of plastic and springs as well as the delicate rehostat and wire arm with the float level on..

Yea, wrapped in a bit of blue paper towel and put in one of those speed bags made of polythene. Utter bunch of ****s
One ****ty email later I received a refund thankfully

Reminds me of the time I bought a laptop off the bay and it was sent in large jiffy bag! beggars belief..

It was just sent in a polythene bag thing. So much room that the two items were all over the shop and free to drift about. The bag was in a right state! Ive had things from all over, even from ocuk and the bag or parcel might have the odd scuff but nothing like what I had today!

This is down to whoever packed it, I was charged £8 for this aswell and I bet it didnt cost that to send it!

I think it was UPS who brought it, didnt take much notice of the label tho... I should have

EDIT: £9.00 for postage/courier

I had a car door delivered from a scrapyard in the same way

Sounds like a retard sent it. I sold a head unit the other week there and it was the wrapped in bubble wrap(fascia too!) in the original box. Then the box went into another box which I lined with air filled bags. Could have played football with it and it would have arrived save.

Some people are just thick.

some people have no clue how to pack stuff and im suprised some of the stuff we get in makes it to where its going.

we deal with music magpie and some people put about 50 dvds/cds in single black bin bags and think it will get to were its going in one piece.

someone sent a 18'' flatscreen, they put it in an asda bag and sent it on its way to another customer, not a return.

if i do a shift in the warehouse i spent a good few hours repacking all this **** so it can get to where its going.

Wait, just remembered one from work.
We all stood and laughed at the courier thinking we would accept it.

It was a car bonnet wrapped in black shrink wrap, but that wasn't the main issue. The main issue was the fact it arrived in a V shape with a big boot print in the middle of the V.
Someone had tried folding it in half to get it in the van!!
If chocolate were brains, that driver clearly didn't have enough to fill a smartie.

Ok guys I waited long enougth for a response and got nothing so I have opened a case. Sure enougth I get a message. The seller is defending their actions by stating they used two rolls of bubble wrap and taped both items together then put that into a shipping bag. They had also sent another shuttle the same way but one thing slipped their minds! It had a working psu still inside the shuttle, the one I bought had no psu hence why the chucked in a standard atx one. Still they are arguing that one shuttle survived so everything can survive in a plastic bag lol.

They also reckon it was a high-quality courier service lol. I have worked in this industry and let me say this! Each company might be good but there is always a depot that stuff goes thru first and if the people working in that depot are not in a good mood one day then things can quickly get a bit rougth! I still stand by one thing and that is PUT IT IN A STURDY BOX!

God what is it with some people? Its like trying to ship 1000 eggs in a bin liner and then wondering why you get an omelette at the other end lol.
