Hi Guys,

My setup is in my signature. I am very tempted to OC my processor, using corsair h80 or h100. But using the software to 'auto' clock my cpu. does it also increase the voltage too? i remember that it increases it to 3.7ghz i think?

is the corsair h100 or h80 enough? or would i need anything else?

thanks

Personally i would go to the Asus ROG forums as a lot more people there will own this mobo - http://rog.asus.com/forum/

I would however stay away from auto tune as it will put up volts beyond what you need them to be, before i did a free swap with a frined of mine ^^ i had an 1100T at 4.20GHZ in the CHVF at 1.45vcore and it ran with a Corsair H80 at 28'c idle.

Autotune on the CHV is way worse than it was on the CHIV, it pushes the CPU/NB voltage to stupid levels (1.65 when stock is 1.15 on mine, and thats just one of the first stages), and no option to fix the voltage like you used to be able to do on the CHIV also.
In other words stay away from autotune, in all honesty the CPU level up option is better than auto tune.
If you want to see what your max clock is on stock voltage just bump the multiplier up.
There is a nice guide on the ROG forum that DF1986 mentioned if you want to start changing other settings etc too.

Goes into a lot of detail and half the stuff you wont need to know but its handy as a reference.

3.7 is easy. Personally I wouldn't recommend going over 1.450 but each to his own. I tried the AutoClock once for the hell of it and it immediately jacked the volts to 1.525 iirc. When I came back from the kitchen the CPU was running mid 70's, well above the AMD max temp recommendation of 62.

Stick it on 1.450 and slowly raise the speed at first, and then even slower later. If you got a good cooler I reckon you're good for 3.9.

Alternatively, after checking. You can Auto Clock and NOT allow the Volts to be raised. Stick it on 1.450 and let it clock itself then.
