When I did it I wasn't sure that was the correct scroll, and the slithering left right totally confused me because in my mind it implied I went sideways - took a while for me to get it....light bulb on moment

Once you've unlocked floor 6, there's a room that will constantly respawn snails. The food is heavy, but it's a free meal and a way to stock your bags up.

Got right to the end of level 4 or 5 (lost count) last night and decided I had nerfed my front row fighters to much by loading out their Str at the beginning (before I knew Dex did the to Hit +).

So I re-created the whole party and started again, and I am glad I did, its now like playing on a easier setting as I am hitting much more!

I went for

Human Fighter - Swords
Minotaur Fighter - Mace (for the skulls)
Lizardman Rogue - daggers and bows
Insect Mage (ice and fire)

Seems to be working like a dream combo atm.

Similar to the default setup I used on the first run through.

Sword / Mace
Throwing / Fire mage (with a bit of ice)

How often do skulls turn up? Admittedly i've not had much chance to play but not got one yet.

There are 5 skulls in the game, by level 3 you can already have 2 skulls
