Planting / Growing Mushrooms

Hi Guys,

I'm looking for some help to a really irritating problem.

My main food source I use is Mushroom Stew, I have recently come to the end of my mushroom supply and for some unknown reason I'm unable to right click and place a mushroom on the ground, and in turn grow it with bone meal.

Is this problem unique to me or the 1.2.5 release?

I know mushroom stew is not the best choice for a food source but its the one I've been using and I cant find anything online relating to this problem.

Please help!

just spend 15 mins in the nether, you will get plenty of shrooms there mate. Also, try a small mushroom farm..they are really easy to grow.

Interesting, just tried myself and I cannot place mushrooms down either...

I've had a further look around the web and cant find a mention of it

It is do do with light level apparently.

yep need to be below light level 13 unless you got Mycelium blocks. Build a kfc or automated wheat farm much more fun.

Fixed! Sorry about that, I did do all of the renders but my browser crashed while I was creating the post. I did check the links and they all seemed okay but I mustn't of noticed the night time one due it being, well night

Nope. No map resets have been discussed or are on the horizon as far as I'm aware.
