Looking for a projector (£300)

let me just state firstly i know naught about projectors, this will be the first time i buy one.

It willi be primarily used for watching movies and maybe the xbox now and then.

I can only spare £300 atm, it's very tight i know considering the item in question, but if anyone can advise me i'd appreciate it.

any suggestions?

You want a hdmi connection and 720p

buy a 40" telly for that and sit closer to it.

otherwise it's not really worth doing at that price.

Wrong, projectors are the bestest and can't compare to Tvs

Second hand Acer h5360 wont be far off that price.best thing I bought in the last 2 years

Terrible advice!

As stated above check out avforums. There are plenty of 720p projectors going for between £100 - £300 price range.

Before you buy make sure you find out how many hours it has been run for, try find out what the lamp life is, and also check out the prices of replacement lamps as some coming to the end of life can cost the same again just for a replacement lamp!
