Hi all,

Just seen the video of this virtual performance via Hologram of Tupac at Cochella festival in America

If you do a search on youtube for Tupac coachella 2012 (I don't want to directly embed as it contains swearing)

What's your thoughts on this? one half of me is thinking yeah it would give everyone a chance to see their favourite artist in a virtual performance on stage at a concert or festival somewhere.

The other bit of me is thinking, little bit creepy, the other bit is thinking just a way to exploit dead artists and make more money.

Whats your thoughts on this?

The video of the hologram stood on stage looks surprisingly real!, if you didn't know about the virtual part, you would think it was real, although I am not sure what it looks like up close. But certainly does look like the real Tupac on stage rapping away as if he was real and there and not a hologram.

Don't really know what to think of this, they are on about doing virtual performance tours of artists and bands that are no longer with us.

I think this just shows how **** music has become if you can get upstaged by a hologram of a dead person to be honest.

This.

I don't see how this is any better than going to a concert to sit and watch a pre-recorded video performance instead of live artist.

Not for me.

was AWESOME! The animations were spot on, it was just as he was on stage with Snoop (although he was 8foot tall lol). Pac was very talented, I watched it a few times in fact. Didn't fine it creepy, found it like a testament to Pacs greatness.

Agreed if it was a hologram of a live person

The concert or the rap artist didn't really excite me, the technology however did. It looked very good :)

It made me wonder how long it would be before holographic telephone calls would become standard in the home!

If anyone's wondering how the hologram was made...
