seeing as my pc is in my bedroom I could do with a decent fan controller to hold me over until I can afford a new case,

YOUR BASKET
1 x Foam Silencing Kit for Antec 300 Cases £29.99
1 x Akasa FC. SIX Channel Fan Controller - Brushed aluminium - AK-FC-08BK £27.98
1 x NZXT Sentry 2 LCD Touch Screen Fan Controller £27.98
1 x AeroCool F6XT 6-Channel Fan Controller £14.99
Total : £111.44 (includes shipping : £8.75).

The foam to silence my case is more than a fan controller :P

any suggestions I need help picking one?

Thanks :)

Spending 40-60 quid on try to silence a 300 might as well be saved up for the new case. Buy ear plugs for the time being. :p

Does your mobo support fan control though the BIOS? You could create a profile to help silencing. For vibrations, you could dampen the panels with Blu-Tack.

it does but only for the cpu which is a bit useless as I need to control the case fans too :/ I'd be spending either £15 or £27 :) just need to decide which one

i'd go for the akasa one.

if its the 300 do the fans installed have the speed selectors linked into the wiring ?

have tried checking out if its just one fan that produces a majority of the noise ?, and how many fans are you running in the system.

Alternatively buy yourself some headphones and use those instead of speakers while you're gaming ;) should hide most of the fan noise.
