Hi I am trying to power the 2 blue (USB 3.0) ports on my Lian case. It list on the specs

USB3.0 x 2 / HD Audio / SD Card Reader

Which can be seen here

Someone mentioned I need to connect them via the tiny headers to my motherboard but as far as I can tell its all connected up correctly.

My motherboard lists this

Internal I/O Connectors

1 x 24-pin ATX main power connector
1 x 4-pin ATX 12V power connector
2 x SATA 6Gb/s connectors
4 x SATA 3Gb/s connectors
1 x CPU fan header
1 x system fan header
1 x front panel header
1 x front panel audio header
1 x S/PDIF Out header
4 x USB 2.0/1.1 headers
1 x serial port header
1 x Trusted Platform Module (TPM) header
1 x clearing CMOS jumper

Note it says " 4 x USB 2.0/1.1 headers" is that my problem as it lists USB 2.0 so wont power the front USB 3.0 ports

Find the manual for my case really confusing!! and from the images mentioning the front USB blue ports the cables dont look like the tiny headers so am confused! :)

Here are some images taken from my phone of the manual.

You case has USB3.0 ports, and the motherboard only has connectors for USB2.0.

Luckily for you Lian Li included an adaptor so you can still use the ports. Somewhere you should have the USB3-USB2 converter [at the bottom of the picture above]. Plug this into the USB3 connector from the front of the case, then the end of the adaptor will be a small 8-pin plug that'll go into the USB headers on the motherboard [check the motherboard manual if you're not sure where they are]

I've just seen the picture you added of the motherboard, you'll want to plug it into the blue ports at the very bottom... when you find the cable ;)

Hmm, that looks sort of correct.
It's confusing because on the smaller end there should be no pins as the pins are on the motherboard. But that's the right idea yes

Found this but not sure if its the correct one?

Wondering if those pins are just showing them as the 1`s from the motherboard, well its only a fiver so worth the gamble I suppose!

Thanks for your kind input! :)

It's not the right cable so don't waste your money.

The end with the blue connector is designed to plug into a USB 3.0 header on the motherboard (which you don't have) and the other end is designed for connecting a USB 2.0 header cable from the case to.
