OK I know its the sun so not exactly a literary masterpiece of impartial journalism. However how does this make you feel ? Do you think the UK should grant her asylum.

My own personal opinion is no. Technically she harboured and international criminal / terrorist for years, so for those who think she is guilty of nothing, I disagree and say she is guilty of collusion and perverting the course of justice.

I agree, anyone linked to international terrorism / crime should be be deported (Abu Qatarda) or denied access to the UK (Bin Laden's wife). There's only one reason I would think of as to why she wants asylum here...

Well, you're right about the Sun being useless for news. So let's discard it based on that.

However if we don't... how do you know what Bin Laden's wife was responsible for? I don't imagine she had much freedom, did she help him carry out acts of terror?

You know what I'd like? I'd like her to apply for asylum and someone to look at it properly, rather than knee-jerk Sun reader reactions who 'reckon' stuff.

Indeed. However, I really don't think we should be giving asylum to (many) people in general. She can go elsewhere.

She hasn't applied for asylum in the UK, is not in the UK and is not on her way to the UK. It seems that she may be deported from Pakistan back to Yemen and a family member has said that the UK would be nice. The Sun has then tried to make a story about it in true stockhausen style.

If she wants asylum she can apply for it in Pakistan.

Why doesn't she seek to migrate to America, it's just another country right?
I'd bet they would love to have her on their chat shows.

Coming here would make it look like we were first port of call for every worthless scroat.

Bin Laden was a militant Islamic fundamentalist, his wife would have basically been a glorified slave.

I think that Pakistan are deporting them to Saudi Arabia who are then going to send them on their way to Yemen. Its highly likely they will either be imprisoned and or tortured on their return. The UK is likely the only country that would grant them asylum based on previous experience. I can't see any other country in the EU likely to even want to start processing any such application. UK is seen as a bit of a soft touch so I have no doubts that if we fast forward 6 to 12 months this conversation will be changed to 'Is it right that Bin Ladens Wife is in the UK ?'

Our past history shows we have let larger nut cases in before without so much as batting an eyelid (Hamza springs to mind)

i think it depends on her
a shes as bad as him and should be shot
b shes nothing like him and was terrified of him (and still is terrified of his minions) and wants out

who is quoted as saying she wanted to marry a 'warlord'

so I am not sure I buy her innocence that cheaply TBH. A full and thorough investigation should proceed before she is considered for entry, and I mean before she even boards a flight into this country.

Why shouldn't she be allowed into the UK? We have equal rights here, and just because she is a Muslim who was married to bin laden doesn't make her a bad person.

She should be allowed to move to the UK and welcomed with open arms, and she will have the freedom in our glorious multi cultural country to carry on wearing a burqa and continue living her life in the UK as a severely oppressed beyond backward Muslim woman. Thats what everyone here wants.

She cant be held accountable for his actions without proof. If there is no proof then why should she be denied asylum.

If my wife becomes a serial killer, does that mean people think less of me?

Don't you have to be in the UK to claim asylum? As she isn't then she won't be able to. It isn't like we are likely to give her a visa to come here or that Pakistan are likely to just plonk her on a plane to Gatwick.

She can't be denied asylum here, that's against the EU asylum laws. She would be allowed in, given a free mansion in London for her and her kids, tens of thousands of benefit money every year from taxpayers pockets, and then everyone is happy. This is what the UK people want and support.

Please don't let this Islamic fundamentalist in as we are having enough trouble getting rid of Abu Qatada.
