Hello all.
I have finally decided to bite the bullet and join the dark side that is water-cooling!
Ive been doing plenty of research on the net, and know the fundamentals.
I just don't know what kit I would need to cool my current setup. the items I want to water cool are a I7 bloomfield and a 6990 and 6970
might be upgrading this to ivy bridge, are there any cpu blocks that will support both?
my current case is a NZXT phantom. I more than understand there are much better cases out there for water-cooling.
I was thinking of ditching the case and going for a either the coolermaster haf X, or the Corsair 800d
I much prefer the corsair, it looks beautiful, but the lack of expansion ports worry me about its future proofing...
I was thinking of a single loop to cool the lot. I will want to overclock and keep this whole thing as quiet as possible.
As I sayd I am a newbie, and don't really know where to start. I do know Im gonna need at least a triple + dual rad, fans, pump, res, tubes, fittings, tools and blocks etc...
any advice would be greatly appreciated.
many thanks in advance
