If you have a steam copy of warband, and preordered off of gamersgate, do the following.

1. Go to Warband on steam, grab your Warband CD Key.
2. Go to Taleworlds.com, enter the Warband Key.
3. DL the full game non-steam version.

You can then use your gamersgate version.

Having never played this before is it worth getting the collection for £7.50 for the single player alone? Sounds like an interesting concept, but most reviews suggest 'rough around the edges'.

For single-player get Warband only and some mods.

tempted by this but its 8 pounds which is more than what i paid for warband which im obsessed with.

Not sure if I'd even enjoy having rifles as tbh its all about charging on your horse

You only paid less than £8 because it was on sale, that isn't the normal price. I paid £30 for BF3 and got bored after a month, while Warband has racked up 600 hours. Why don't you try the Mount & Musket mod as you already have Warband.

Steam only bought a small number of keys, I guess they were expecting a low number of purchases. There's thousands of people waiting on Steam to get more keys.

Bought! Downloading now, going to mess around on public first and get the hang of things before joining up with a group. Only issue I have is I cant get on at certain times so going to look for a fairly relaxed one and have some fun.

It certainly is. I have to admit i miss the zoom function when using the musket but something i need to adjust too. Superb to see the servers so full!

Yep, I got my first line battle on sunday should be a good'n. Hopefully players tell their friends about the game and keep the servers full

I get 15 fps on a server with 76 people , everything is on low :/

I solved my cdkey issue by updating warband to 1.51 - it was 1.43 something. Anyway corrected a lot of graphical errors i was getting and cd key box popped first time i tried to join a server... And then i spawned naked. Except for my rifle. It was cold.

Looking forward to getting on later, hopefully clothed.

Come to the conclusion that this absolutely blows. More about luck than anything else, where the shooting is concerned anyway.

Might be realistic, but it certainly isn't fun. The novelty value wears off incredibly fast.

I haven't played it but it very much looks like the "Not what you play but who you play with" sort of game. Lucky enough I could play with the BAB guys since I'm in shacktac, but I haven't yet.

Did you play with a group?

In fairness no, I didn't. Perhaps that's where i'm going wrong.

As far as shooting is concerned it's half luck and half skill, you pick it up. Melee has been rewritten so everyone's getting used to the new system and that is skill and timing.
