If so any thoughts?

I fancy going, im a competent skiier, with someone who is a very good skiier. Is it even worth it or will we be completely underwhelmed?

Also can you take your own gear, is there lockers etc to use to keep your stuff in?

Ive got some new skis and boots I fancy a few hours playing with before next years proper skiing, allow me to see if i want to adjust the cant and bindings settings...

thanks in advance to anyone who can add any info :)

I learnt to board in a day there.

There are lockers and you can take your own gear, you will be completely underwhelmed though. There's literally one slope you can use as the other one is a training slope for noobs like me.

I've not been to the one in Milton Keynes but I have been to the one in Glasgow and I was pretty underwhelmed, if you've not been for ages then maybe it's worth it just to get your equipment set up/get used to being on skis/snowboard again but you'll probably find the runs extremely unexciting and short. It might be different there but I'd doubt it varies all that much.

I learnt to ski at the MK one, once you've been skiing properly it seems proper lame going back there!

You spend more time going up the poma lift than actually going down the slope, think that's the problem with all the indoor ones really the slope is about 150 metres long and probably takes 30 seconds to get to the bottom max.

They're alright for keeping your eye in during the close season but that's about it.

Thanks, kind of sounds as I feared :(

Thanks, pretty sure its one slope with a beginners slope so sounds almost identicle.

Been to the one in castleford a few times. Fun for about the first 2-3 runs but then the amount of time you spend on the lifts/queuing for the lifts is just a pain in the arse. Not to mention incapable morons falling off constantly and getting it stopped.

If you just want to try out some new gear go for it but prepare to be underwhelmed :p

Yeah I only want to go to setup and test skis and boots so a tricky call. I would rather spend £60 for us to go there than waste a couple of hours in resort next winter but ifs its 30 secs to get down I suspect I wont even get enough speed up to manage to fall hard enough to test bindings release ;)

I used to live in MK, it's not too bad, but I don't think the slope is long enough. I did some snowboarding lessions there.

You get your own locker for £1, and the snowbar at the top you can see the slope through the window.

Depends what your looking to do, they do have board/ski evenings that are more open then during the day. Although I have not been, I have a lot of mates and family that go

Went a few times years ago. It got really boring as others have said you spend more time queuing to get to the top than time actually skiing.

I went to the MK one to have a couple of snowboarding lessons, and even as a complete beginner snowboarder I got bored of reaching the bottom too quickly. I'm a good skier and it looked absolutely no fun to be on skis.

Had my first lessons at MK and great for that but no use at all once you get to a decent level, save your money would be my advice I'm afraid.

lol totally agree. Been a few times and its been packed both times but one of the times they only had 1 lift open and the queue was stupid and every one was moaning for about a hour untill they opened the other lift.
