Jagged Alliance Back In Action

I started with 'Fox' 'Bull' and 'Blood' And I am doing well, not took any serious damage.

Reading about this game on other forums, and you can get 'Ivan' (guy with AK) as a first start, you need to recruit 'Gunty' first...

Anyway, just got my P90 and FN-Fal delivered...
 
Well talk about underrated, this game is a rough diamond tbh. All it needs is destructible enviroments, a time gauge for tactical missions (slow mo basically) and some improvements to the inventory. Polish it up and it'd be contender for GOTY.

Here we have a completely non-linear, tactical thinking game where it is up to you when and how you you undertake your objectives, and some immediately scoff at it just because it's not turn based.

Well boo hoo. Xcom Apoc wasn't focused on TB either but look how great it was in RT.
 
I have never played any of the previous Jagged Alliance games, but spotted this in (the now defunct) Game the other day and it looked interesting. Is it any good, bearing in mind that I have no idea what the previous games were like, and so won't be dissapointed that it's all changed?
 
This is dreadful. I'm a massive turn based strategy fan.

This is half finished, it's a disgrace it's on sale without being finished off. And on top of that they've put it at full price.

If this was a fan-made unofficial remake I'd say it was nice and I'll come back when it's finished.

I got a refund from Steam on it.

There has been a patch, 1.13 I think at the end of April which fixes many many issues. I cant put the game down, coupled with the Blue Dawn mod which fixes a few more annoying issues its a huge amount of fun.
 
I'll probably pick it up next time it's on sale, IF they've fixed the AI issues.

A friend tried to convince me to get it, so tried the demo and was infuriated by just how DUMB your men are. Literally sitting there doing nothing while some machete-wielding idiot trudges towards them from 100m and finishes them off!

You could spend a little time on the tactical side so that doesn't happen... ;)
