Apple TV2 with Plex media centre

[fireisdangerous]

I am considering getting a jailbroken apple tv2 so i can run Plex media centre on it. Does anything have an apple tv 2, would like to know how it performs as i currentley have a rather over spected HTPC.

Only downside of the apple tv is that it is 720p

Thanks

I used to use Plex but prefer XBMC on my ATV2.

Reason being it will play DTS tracks!

Had no issues with Plex other than the above and it was a simple exercise setting it up.

Thanks for the reply. Does plex on the apple tv play the streamed mkv files nativley or does your server with plex on have to transcode it on the fly.

It has to go through my Plex server, sorry I should have said that XBMC has that benefit over Plex. No need for my iMac to be on as it can SMB onto the NAS. Plex cannot.

Thats fine because my plex server is on my media server. Thanks for the info.
