**OcUK EXCLUSIVE - THE WORLDS FASTEST GTX 680 - KFA2 LTD OC!!

I'm not convinced - £500+ for a 2gb model seems just too pricey. That's about £100 premium for very little tangible gain over the LAUNCH priced GTX 680.

But this is the price they sell at. :)

Gainward Phantom 2GB is the same price and is not as good specification wise, yet it sells very well. This card will absolutely fly of the shelfs with this specification and exclusive White PCB.

This card is the equivalent to the upcoming EVGA Classified and MSI Lightning which will no doubt sell for closer to £600.

Have to say it seems you pay for the name with Nvidia, like buying VW when a Seat or a Skoda have the same parts. If you have the cash and like to show it then these are the cards for you. Personally the head rules the heart 99% of the time!

One reason because is more expensive is because this video card is made (to some extent) with the more expensive Tantalum polymer capacitors. Tantalum polymer capacitors are even more reliable than the normal solid capacitors

Quote:

GTX 680 HOF has a VRM of 8+2 power phases with International Rectfier DirectFETs, MLCC/Tantalum polymer capacitors and high-grade chokes. Whole VRM is controlled by CHL8358 chip. This card requires dual-8pin power connectors with 300 Watts of maximum power draw. It features three 90mm fans and five heatpipes connected with aluminum fin array.

What's with the gay gangster **** on the front of the box?
As this is an OCUK Exclusive, I assume it is Gibbo in his drag costume.

Nice card.

edit: 3x mini HDMI and 1xDP outputs are an odd selection. Would be nice to have an HDMI or a full size HDMI connection on there.

I remember 7970's hitting this price soon after launch. It's not only NVidia who play at price hikes.

Two years ago I bought the video card I have now ASUS EAH5870 V2 for 320£, and for me this was already the limit I can afford, This video card will be my next Up-grade,I just need to wait till come to the 4XX£ range by at least
