Hi guys , purchashed the benq xl2420t a little while ago with the intention of purchasing 3d vision when I got my 680. Now have it and I have a mate who has a 3d vision kit I can buy quite cheap. My question is it compatible with the benq or does it have to be the newer 3d vision 2 kit?

Thanks.

Nah it'll work just fine. But from what I've read the price of a 3D Vision Kit 2 over the first generation is worth it. I've only got revision 2 so can't comment for sure but that's the impression I get from numerous people who've had both.

Ah okay mate, I can probably get the original kit for about 50 pound though ? Would you recommend I wait longer until I can afford the 2nd version ? Or will it be a worthy purchase for the right price? Hmm

Probably worth trying the cheap kit to see if you like the whole 3d thing. That way you only lose 50 instead of 90 pounds if you don't like it. Or 3d vision 2 might be a lot better than 1, I don't know, someone else will have to fill you in there!

you can use the original vision kit no problem,in fact both kits new & old are the same in terms of 3D performance the only difference are the comfort & larger lens on vision 2 glasses.(going by a review).

This is exactly spot on, I have both. It's the 3d vision 2 monitors that are brighter, not the glasses.
