I sometimes hit 20fps with a 680. I assume x2 would be 40fps ish so x3 sli would hit 60 fps ish. That seems a good enough reason to me to go x3 sli.

A 6000? I'm impressed. I had a 5500, but I broke it. 3dfx eventually agreed to replace it, a month or so before they went belly-up. The second one went bang a few months later due to me not securing the new (air) cooling properly. It then had a small accident:

This is brilliant. Makes me want to get my old Riva tnt 2 and voodoo 3000 out and play quake 2

That's why I built a retro rig. Just can't get Mechwarrior 2 to play under Win7, never mind with 3dfx loveliness

Now, the Delta Fans don't touch the desktop.

If only 3dfx was still around today - TBH it was only a matter of time before one of the 3 (3dfx, ATI and Nvidia) was squeezed out of the market.
