3d vision, worth it?

Left 4 Dead 2 for me. Even though it's on an ageing engine it just looks so awesome.

It doesn't have the beauty of TRINE 2, but it's so much fun. Looking at exploded Boomers is hilarious.

Dirt 3 is drop dead sexy in 3d too. The entire dashboard in 3dvision looks like it's coming out of the screen.

I think after reading this whole thread im going to get a the nvidia 3d visoion kit along with a 680. So lloking forward to it, il have it just intime for Diablo3. Cant wait to see it on bf3 and wow also.

Maybe I will have to treat myself to Diablo 3 as I have heard from others it is superb in 3D.

Best game for me is still Trine 2....Just wow factor.

I got Trine on Steam but still haven't played it. Not tried Trine 2 but heard it was good in 3D. Maybe it was from you on these forums.

You will not be dissapointed unless you suffer with the sickness that some get.

Trine 2 was recommended to me by a m8 and I couldn't believe how good in 3D it was. I never tried Trine but it is on my to do list. You will have to let me know if it is any good.

TRINE (the first) is very good. A little short perhaps but very good.

It too is a GPU killer though. It really makes your GPUs run hot lol.

Just ordered the BenQ 120Hz monitor the other day and waiting for delivery - there's a bundle deal with 3D Vision 2 glasses. I play mostly racing sims, it will be interesting to see what (if anything!) it adds to gameplay. I have a 580, hopefully it will have enough grunt to run the games at a satisfactory frame rate.

I got the benq screen to, the 120mhz rate is noticeable right away, bf3 looked like a different game compared to how it looked on my old screen, and thats with just a lowly little 6950. cant wait for a 680 and 3d kit to fire up my games, all in time for Diablo3 release. i feel like a kid at xmas.

Just enable 3D vision discover in the control panel and put on a pair of those cheap cardboard red, blue glasses things for a taster, it won't be brill quality but you do get an idea of what 3D vision will be like, I rushed out and got my vision kit after trying this and I think you will too.
Get.trine two with your new goggles and prepare for a truly epic 3D spectacular super dooper mind blowing experience, the 680 is highly recommended for 3D vision.

Oh boy, are you in for a treat, just wait till you fire up dirt 3, formula 1, nfs shift, trackmania and race 07, you'll never go back to 2D racing ever again and your 580 will handle those titles in 3D no probe.

I'd also recommend flatout 2 and pure for 3D.
Oh and left for dead, fifa 11 or 12, streetfighter, tombraider underworld, fsx, yars revenge, trine 1 & 2,
Toca race driver 3..i know it's old but brill in 3D, cod black opps, the helicopter mission is epic, leggo pirates of the Caribbean. Can anyone expand on more epic 3D beauty?

Cool! I was getting a little bored with PC gaming, but this sounds like it will definitely add a new dimension to things (forgive the pun). Need to pick up Dirt3 next as I've heard lots of good things about it and 3D vision.

Just Cause 2/Metro 2033/Batman Arkham City/Mass Effect 3(though it has a slight aiming issue in 3D might be fixed now but the effect was good)

I like 3D Vision a lot, those of you who experience headaches/sickness should try at a low depth first for 30mins or so sessions each time then gradually work up the time and depth amount to see if your eyes will adjust to it as this seems to work for some people.

I was exactly the same and couldn't decide weather to go 3 screens or 3D. I went 3D and have not looked back. It has made gaming enjoyable again for me.

Because the glasses that are supplied with the nvidia 3D vision kit link up to that. Maybe there is a way round it but I have not heard of it.

My monitor is 3D, if it would work through a Panasonic tv, whats the difference in it not working through my monitor?

if I understand you correctly - you have a 120hz PC monitor (non-panasonic) and you are asking if the panasonic glasses will work with your PC and non-panasonic monitor?

the panasonic glasses work via the software and IR emitter built in to the panasonic TV

your PC doesn't have the panasonic software or IR emitter and games don't know how to use the panasonic software even if it did

the nvidia sofware won't work with the panasonic glasses using your non-panasonic monitor and even if it did you still don't have an IR emitter

the nvidia 3d drivers WOULD work with panasonic TV + Glasses though only over HDMI which currently means 1080p 24hz or 720p 60hz (until 3D TV's come out that support 300mhz HDMI)

your monitor is not "3D"... it is 120hz... but you need the additional software + hardware to enable 3D, which if you have an Nvidia graphics card the easiest route is 3D Vision kit
