Are there better or worse GTX 680 cards out there?

I'm sure that most 680s are much of a muchness. But are there any cards out there that are considered to be the best of the bunch?

All 680s perform the same unless they are factory overclocked. Or are a non reference design. As for cooling, if you want the best any will do aslong as you stick a water block on it. But if you want aircooled, the best would probably be this

by massive overclocking they mean an extra 8FPS !...... WOW I MEAN WOW:rolleyes:

What are you expecting from an overclock? Double? 8 FPS can easily be the difference between vysnc'd and not or playable/non-playable.

Come on... if we're taling in terms of FPS, 8FPS from an overclock is an exceptional level of performance increase from moving a few sliders.

And of course the number of FPS increase is down the to the game as much as the overclock so it's not a good barometer at all.

I think what the OP is asking is even of the non-reference ones, do any of them seem to provide consistently good OC

and the answer seems to be no, all of the aftermarket ones released so far seem to OC only marginally better than a reference model, which is dissapointing

there is one review of the jetstream that shows it OC'd to 1384mhz, but then in another review and from the one owner posting on here I've seen, some samples top out at 1250ish, which is within spitting distance of the stock one

I hope OCUK post up a review of the HOF version before they get stock shipping out... I have pre-ordered one (with my 10% voucher) but if it doesn't get at least 1400mhz then it's a waste over a standard one as well

Yeah just to clarify, since my original question was a bit vague admittedly. I was wondering where there were particular cards which were considered 'good quality', produced good overclocks and have good cooling on air.

Abit like my question, There are no reviews putting EVGA Vs Asus, Gigabyte PNY and others. At the moment you get the Standard Vs the OC version. But in terms on standard 680 whats the diff between them how is one better than the other?

@andybird123: My stock can get to 1290 if I fan blast it (70-75%). It varies so much...

this was exactly my point, the non-reference ones don't seem to be bringing very much to the party so far, even with supposedly better power handling and an 8-pin connector, you are still entirely at the mercy of whether or not you got a "good" chip

there is no difference between the standard boards, other than logo and warranty

whether you get a good overclocker or not is pot luck, not brand

its not worth an extra 80 quid just for 8FPS, if a reference card will do the same thing.

Reference card will not match the linked card above. Reference 680s have voltage locked at 1175mV max by their hardware.
Unless it was an epic reference and a **** hall of fame..

We're still talking a few fps though.
