New Call of Duty game to be revealed next week

Hmm exciting stuff.


Starting to find Modern Warfare 3 just a wee bit repetitive? Fear not, for it seems a new Call of Duty game will be unveiled in a little over a week.

According to a teaser posted on the official Call of Duty website, a 'world reveal' will take place on Tuesday, May 1st, during the basketball playoffs on TNT.

The site countdown doesn't provide any additional clues, but if we were bookies, we wouldn't want to be taking bets on this being a teaser trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

Predictable? And just a little stale? Perhaps, but then the first Black Ops sold over five million copies in under 24 hours. Suppose you can't blame publisher Activision for wanting to get the next instalment out the door sooner rather than later.

its black ops 2, no doubt about it at all and im looking forward to it!
i still play blops regularly with a few friends and its great so hopefully they continue the trend :D
 
I'm slightly surprised this is getting so much coverage with what that Norway gunman has been saying.

I secretly hope its the "Call of Duty MMO" they've been whispering about for years.

EA do the exact same thing ! :p only difference they call it Moh one october then next oct they call it whatever bf cashes in best :)


dont hold too much hope for this bops was ok better than mw3 but not cod4 worthy. it is black ops 2 as already mentioned

why they didnt just use the mechanics from cod4 and just make better graphics and maps it would be awesome.

some will argue that they maybe have already done this as it doesnt change much but no cod since cod4 has been similar if you actually play them ;)

one thing that will be sure it will actually work unlike ea games :D

I can't wait for this. Black Ops was absolutely perfect.

After that truly awful game by the name of MW3, I'm hoping this is more how CoD should be. So, none of those terrible maps.

Edit: Oh, I'm talking about console. Wrong forum, but still applies. :p

Was talking about this with one of the guys I game with. We both said that it was stange we hadn't heard anything yet about this years release :p

Looking forward to this, after being let down so hard by MW3, and the amount of enjoyment I had out of Black Ops. Let's just hope they don't ruin it.
 
Oh great a Treyarch game, so its bound to be badly optomised and require about 5x the horsepower it should. The black ops release on pc was a disaster, top of the line cards istruggling to run a game that looked like it had quantum leaped from 2004 to 2010. They didnt bother to even start to address the performance for weeks and even when they did it still doesnt run as it should. Another half assed port.

is it along the lines of i planned it all on cod, or got practice firing a gun on cod?
havnt read about it myself so i dunno exactly but can imagine its along those lines :rolleyes:

EA battlefield much :rolleyes:

also bops for me ran perfectly well from launch and was never a problem but i know others did have.

if it comes to a poll whos game would work more often than not on launch a game by Activision or EA :) dont even need a poll for that do we :D

It was actually more along the lines of "When I wanted time off from planning to murder people, I played games" but the world press jumped on the "Games as murder training" bandwagon. It was a bit pathetic tbh.

Battlefield at least looks like it should require some horsepower to run, blackops in comparison looks years out of date yet still needed plenty of grunt to run properly.

MoH and BF are both military based FPS games, but apart from that they are different games. CoD games are all the same. So no, EA don't to the exact same thing.

Battlefield runs fine, upgrade your system if it doesn't. And Battlefield looks vastly superior to CoD, so of course it's going to require a system to play it than CoD.
