Obnoxious? Blackjax.

I hate proximity alarms with a passion. I'm probably completely overreacting but for some reason it just seems to me like the owner thinkgs their car is so important that I'm not even allowed to walk past it. I do completely get the security thing though and if my car were worth a lot then I'd want something similar on it.

If my neighbour had one then I'd probably keep walking past it deliberately :D

Off topic, but it has always bugged me. Is the word 'clouds' in your sig supposed to be incorrect like that? :p

A lot of cliftons have them, mine is the avantguard 5.5... Was fitted before I got the car though, can't seem to turn it off.

On top of that the auto alarm is disabled but if the ignition is not in start or on then the system activates after 30 seconds. Means you have to lock and unlock again. Otherwise if you turn the key nothing happens.
the sensors are moduler add on things if you can find it you can pull the plug. the auto thing is the immobiliser, something to do with thatchcam cant remember if it can be turn it off

Strikes me as a 'boy who cried wolf' situation. If it keeps going off when people are just walking past it then it means everyone will ignore it if it does get broken into.

now days people ignore any arlam weather its keeps going off or not

get the cliffordnet thingy so you can program it from a laptop, I had the proximity scanner and it was setup perfectly, you can also change the chirp sound via the 'net software too. It was one element of the clifford avant garde I actually liked ;)

it's a totally different sound, my clifford used to chirp, worked wonders and always got my attention. Once the window is smashed and the proper alarm is wailing it's too late, the proximity alarm gave me enough time to unplug my keyboard and exact justice, although 9 times out of ten it was a fox/squirrel/cat etc..

i dont and neither does my other half.

a hail shower yesterday set our clifford off, she was at the window before i was to see what was up with her precious car lol
granted if it your car, i would be the same. but park it in town etc its another story
