Mick McCarthy - FIRED!

Yay, we've interviewed two of the worst managers of the past 10 years, both have turned us down, so its down to you son.

You've got till may, then you are out the door regardless as well, because a new maanger wont keep you on if we stay up, and you are fired if we go down.

Merry christmas, now **** off out my sight.

Ahahahaha

That was my thoughts.

Fair enough getting rid of Mick if you have a plan... but they clearly didn't. They listened to the fans without thinking it through first and they will be a complete mess now.

Potential for a game or two's bounce (against us grrrr!) from a change in manager like you always get but after that they will plummet faster than prossie's thong.

As much as I like Terry Connor, having met him (nice bloke), I'm not convinced he's the right guy for the job...like to think the players will pull together and put extra effort in for the remaining, I hope the fans do the same as well and get behind the team though I imagine there will be a lot of disquiet directed towards Moxey and to a lesser extent Morgan....

I'm a Wolves fan but I see this as an appointment being made because put simply no one else wants it.

If MM was sacked before the transfer window and a new manager offered money to spend I'd be inclined to say we'd have a fair chance of staying up. After the window with 13 games left I just can't see it happening.

bye bye wolves

back down a league where you belong. be better for everyone.

I'm hoping team allegiances are to blame for this comment, because I really can't stand elitism in football. If you think this we might aswell throw away promotion / relegation and employ the US NFL/NHL/NBA approach.

No team belongs anywhere, they earn or lose their right to play in a league.

Hey up guys

Mick has just been fired from Wolves. I believe that this is the right decision for us as a club. The team has not played well for weeks and weeks, and yesterdays defeat just showed that his decisions on the formation was lacking!

As a hardened Wolves fan, I am glad that we have got rid of him, just who should be in charge next????

After the game yesterday we had a protest outside of the stadium in protest against Mick.

Mind you, we also need to change Moxey, as he seems to be keeping the purse strings very tightly closed. He decided to expand the stadium, before investing in players! Never a good choice, especially as we are looking likely to be back in the Championship next season.
So you still feel it was the right decision?

Sad to see him crying yesterday, why on earth they thought he would be good to lead a team in a relegation battle, his stats says it all 0 wins 2 draws and countless losses.

Terry Connor never looked confident in the role. Even after the first game he looked like a rabbit in the headlights.

Despite that I think most people will agree that the manager wasn't the problem and sacking Mick McCarthy and appointing his no.2 was idiotic really, I think McCarthy would have done a better job the past few games but I still don't think they were good enough to stay in the division.

Now if they want to bounce straight back up they will need to look for an experienced manager and they'll struggle to find anyone better than Mick.

I would agree keeper and defence wernt strong enough but they had two good wingers, good forwards and the CM wasn't too shabby. They are a lot stronger than Wigan, Swansea, Norwich, Blackburn IMO and not much worse than Villa/Bolton either.

The board are te biggest clowns over the whole fiasco but the players need to have a long look at themselves for the disgraceful way they have played pretty much all season.

Really, well league position says otherwise, they won 5 games under McCarthy and none under Connor.

Because, IMO, the players are a disgrace for how they have performed.

I thought Hennessey was decent for Wolves so I don't understand why you say the GK was poor.

He's ****.

Perhaps every single time I have watched him I have caught him at a bad time but he is, at best, an average shot stopper and has zero control over his area and poor positioning sense and distribution. Should have played De Vries from the start.

Yup the players should know how to play basic football, problem was Wolves board saw what Steve Kean did at Blackburn and though Connor could do the same, he could not.

Remember when Wigan played Wolves and tbh Wigan should have won, Hugo missed a sitter and Wolves went up and scored of the goal kick and they lost 2-1
