No mate sorry.

You have to have Half Life 1 NOT HALF LIFE SOURCE and it has to be the steam version not the CD version.

its only £5 on Steam but i assure you its worth every penny.

This. Everyone has half life 2 on steam and they could certainly improve the graphics with source... Makes no sense to me why it's a HL1 mod.

Even my 4 year old laptop can run hl2.

I would imagine that they already did a ton of work with the HL1 engine and wanted to release the mod rather than ditch everything and move to source.

If that's not the case though, yeah, I agree with it being madness.
