Make sure you create a folder and put the exe in there first, then run it. Everything will download to that folder.

i extracted the zip to a folder then ran it it created 3 files.

gw2.tmp
gw2.dat (13,366,435KB)
gw2.exe (21,114KB)

I just figured they would have a typical installer rather than a dump of files in any old folder. Still makes me feel there might be another installer that does just that. The GW1 installer works the same way, when ran it asks what folder you want and then downloads in the exact same fashion as this installer.

ArenaNet have kinda left the client download far too late IMO. A lot of people will be struggling to download it before Friday at this rate.

I dont do guild leading or officering in MMOs. I hate both of them.

I actually had my own solo guild in GW1, but then I joined a small friendly guild / alliance with casual title / HoM point chasers and stuck with it. I think I'll stay in their GW2 guild too, but you can join multiple guilds in GW2.

I definitely dont want to join the large elitist guilds either, and can join any server for WvWvW so PVP isnt an issue.

Yea thats why I started downloading today from the reddit link. At 60-100ish kb/s, I'm only just on 5000 Mb downloaded. It would take me 1.5 days for the whole thing, and cant hog the home broadband for it when I have my own unlimited 3G connection.

if its run anything like your SWTOR guild was people should pass and someone make an all new ocuk guild.

the immortals was basicly the incrowd questing together all the time and any new ocuk members fended for themselfs so might aswell of been in a random guild

I know what you mean, I could never be arsed with the drama that goes on in Guilds.

I do, however, enjoy a 10-50 person guild of people who are just there for a laugh.

It just reports incorrectly, tripple the speed. It's connecting to 2-3 servers at the same time and only reporting on one, watch the download

One thing I cant stand now ... the GW1 servers have gone down (very rarely happens) with the wiki updated with information for birthday preperations ....

So the GW1 birthday event is happening at the same time as the GW2 beta???? WWWHHHHYYYYY??????

I needed to farm birthday cakes, I already missed Easter, and Halloween / Christmas events are too far away after GW2 will launch.
