Well done Chelsea they deserved the win, thought they played well (and that's coming from a gooner!)
correct me if im wrong here, but weren't chelsea utterly dominated by barca in both legs?
at home chelsea had what 30% possession- maybe less.
lets not get carried away here. barca were far the better side.in neither tie did they set their stall out and beat barca. they played long ball hit and hope -:rode their luck and eventually snuck past barca who's dip in form came really at the wrong time.
if anything barca took it too casually especially at the bridge but at no point did chelsea play well. sure they defended robustly by blocking messi shots . they were good at stopping barca play well in the final third is about the best compliment you could really give to the blues.

If they try and play football against either Bayern or Real they will get beaten and I really pray they don't play as **** as they did against Barca again 
I hated the way they played but they defended well and counter attacked well and made Barca look average, even against 10 men so well done to them.
I would like them to win it, but only if Newcastle don't finish fourth. If Newcastle get fourth I will be cheering for whoever they play against

Whilst it would be gutting for Newcastle if that happens I think the toon army should just be happy with the season they've had to be honest
Sad day for football and the champions league IMO. Now the final will be 1 team attacking and one playing the 5-5-0 formation like they did for 180+ minutes.
4 shots on goal in 180 minutes and everyone is saying they deserve to go though lol. 1 shot on target every 45 min sounds like a team that deserves to play in the champions league final.
Also how wasnt Torres goal ruled offside?

barca have a habit of over playing and underscoring against English clubs.
hell even arsenal could have beaten them the other year despite being down to 10 men as well.

So what if they didn't play attacking football. Greece won a Euro by playing defensively. If it works for you, then roll with it.
Seriously, it's hard to tell if it's just downright jealousy or stupidity to say Chelsea didn't play well. They went in with their gameplan and stuck with it. Excellent discipline from them all except the obvious pleb.
Also @ Torres' goal, you can't be offside in your own half. He was just inside when the ball was cleared.

In what shape was that edge of the seat action? Chelsea hardly came out to play football. edge of the seat action is both teams attacking end to end stuff, not parking a bus and then camping for 170 minutes out of 180.
I wonder what you would have said if Barca played in exactly the same fashion as chelsea over the 180 minutes. We would have watched the worse semi final ever in any competition if that would have happened.
I don't know about you, but I watch TV and sport in general to be entertained. Safe to say I would stop watching football if every team and every football match was like this (defending for 180 minutes).
Even more sad is that the premier league is suppose to be the best in the world and the most exiting and then we watch a team defending for 180 minutes and hit long balls all day.
If every team in the world played this defensively, football as a sport would die out since 95% of followers would stop following it.
Without looking at the replay I'm guessing he was in his own half when the ball was played forward.

Chelsea may not have attacked Barca but if they had, they would have lost. Teams have been looking for a way to beat Barca for the last 3 years. That's football, it doesn't mean Chelsea play that way every game does it? You set a game plan to beat the team in front of you on the day. I doubt any team on the planet could play their normal game against this Barca side.
Chelsea rode their luck a bit, but over 180 minutes they beat them on aggregate. Stopped them from scoring at the bridge, nullified Messi and drew at The Nou Camp... With 10 men. Any team that manages that deserves some credit.

no, they stuck to their game plan well. but they did not play well. they were barely in contention. petr cech bouncing the ball 80 yards up the pitch over and again is not good football no matter how you want to dress it up.
it was a commendable and committed performance by chelsea but overall they were lucky they came up against a team firing blanks.

Nope, but I gotta say the offside rule in this case doesn't make any sense. Why on earth would it matter if it is in your own half, he is still past the last defender by half a mile and can easily run to the goal and score lol.
Sadly then chelsea has it completely the wrong way around. Only reason they are getting 100k+ wages a week is because they are in an entertainment business. Take the entertainment out of football and you got nothing but 22 people on a pitch chasing air.
Take entertainment out and almost everybody would stop watching. Don't think anyone would spend watching 40+ games all 90 minutes long if you watched both teams defending and average 2 shots on goal per game.
So let them, it would not stop people scoring goals. In fact more goals would probably be scored.
