Do I need a pc/laptop or will a cheap tablet do?

Hi All,

Wondered if you could put me on the right track please. Other half has taken to streaming some programmes onto the t.v. which works well but it uses my laptop which I need for working whilst he's watching t.v. !

I'm after something to sit beside the television and just be used for streaming or very light web browsing on the t.v. Do I need to buy a cheap pc/laptop or will one of the cheap tablets with an hdmi output do the job well - I'm not sure whether graphics cards make a difference when you are streaming and things like that.

Get a cheap media player and just use USB storage.

Thanks for the information - I'll have a look through those, that would seem a much better option than a p.c.
