These days I'm not surprised when it comes to just how completely thick some people behind the wheel are.:rolleyes:

A confused driver has ended up trapping his car on the steps of a Paris metro station, after mistaking it for the entrance to an underground car park.

"There's a sign saying 'Haussmann Parking' right in front... I made a mistake," the driver - identified only as Johan - told the AFP news agency.

The 26-year-old managed to brake in time to stop the vehicle, leaving the back wheels sticking out.

No-one was hurt in the incident, which immediately drew a crowd of onlookers.

Many took pictures of the car - a Dacia Duster - stranded on the stairs at the Chaussee d'Antin-La Fayette metro station.

The driver was later asked by French police to do an alcohol test, which he passed.

A member of staff at a local restaurant was quoted by AFP as saying that a similar incident took place at the site about five years ago.

Get off your high horse, everyone knows women drivers are terrible...not all but majority of them are;).
 
Oh I dunno - Male or Female, there's one common denominator here - brain cells or the lack of to be more exact.

That's funny because women used to get much cheaper car insurance than men based on stats and evidence before equality measures bumped us all to the same rate.
 
Also I find it amusing that the default reaction to some form of negative discrimination is

I'm sure this is probably quite a common occurrence - there are loads of underground car parks on the continent with entrances fairly similar to this, someone just happened to miss that there were steps on this one and couldn't get out for some reason.

I am fed up with sharing my hobbies with racists, homphobes and misogynists, I get that motor sports are the domain of primarily wealthy old white people but their attitudes on here and other forums do my head in, and from time to time I call it out. It is getting better as attitudes change as education seeps down, but of course, old wealthy people are the most stubborn and unwilling in a lot of cases.
