I guess OCUK do not want my money then.I knew this would happen once they gave out the facebook vouchers to clear SB stock.

It was timed nicely to run out on the 28th when IB is out the following morning.I know that i will simply go buy it elsewhere to spite OCUK as i feel sort of touchy about not getting to use the voucher on IB and being cut off by one day on purpose. So let us pre order the damm CPU if you want our money!

It is not as if OCUK are cheap or anything i still need MOBO+CPU as i was going to use the voucher for the Asus Z77 until i realised that the web price for today only was only matching other UK sites.Once it ended the price was roughly more expensive by £10 so really all the voucher did was make it cost the same as someone else yet you had to go sign to facebook to get that equal price.

Woop-de-do now you actually lost a sale instead of gaining one with a 10% discount!

I have a few and I'll be giving them all away on people I know if I can't use them on an IB CPU.

The Facebook discount event started a couple days after I bought a bunch of components too :/

I somehow missed the 10% discount and would like one also (obviously behind Craterloads) Already bought a motherboard and ram without the code, but still need a SSD for my IB build.

Depending on the SSD you want the discount code will end up costing you money, not saving it. For example, the Crucial m4 64gb was £64 when I bought it. The discount would save me roughly 6 pounds but I'd lose free next day shipping which costs about £8 iirc.

So yeah, if you're buying a 64 gb SSD, chances are you'll be losing money if you apply the discount and stick with the default shipping.

I don't think it was OCUK's intention to wait until the voucher codes expire before allowing IB orders. Though maybe the date was arranged to end the day before.

No retailer in the UK has them up yet, even for pre-order, at least not that I can find. It must have been a request by Intel to not allow orders for them at all until Sunday.

Well, the 10% voucher was good for me, and I am sure it was for many others too.

I doubt they would have timed it to spite the likes of you.

Grow up.

Can't have it both ways

Either you weren't going to buy it from OcUK and the 10% would have GAINED a sale.
Or
You were going to buy it from OcUK and because you're mad you cant use a discount its they've lost a sale on principal?

They cant both have lost a sale from you when there was potential for you to buy from them if you got the discount.

It may simply be pedantic arguments but you're behaving like a child so im more than willing to point out your logical fallacy.
(UNLESS you were intending to buy an IB cpu and the 10% would have encouraged you to buy a second there and then, however due to not getting that you have decided to not buy either from OcUK,... then it works. I doubt that was the case though)

What people have to realise is that had the 10% voucher never of existed, applicable for Ivy or not, you wouldn't of had reason to complain, you'd of been at a base point of buying it for full price.
The 10% puts you into a positive position, where you can save a lot of money on a lot of items, just because it doesn't apply to ivy due to time constraints, you're no worse of than you would have been without the voucher at all, so stop acting like you are.
Even if it lasted 20 days however they said it doesn't apply to IB, you'd have no reason to complain, you're no worse of than if it didn't exist, and infact are in a far better position if you intent to buy anything more than just the cpu.

/rant over

Also Gibbo mentioned in a previous thread that they usually have less than 10% markup on products so even if you were to use it OCUK would probably be losing money :D

I saved £70 today thanks to the coupon. Obviously I would have preferred ordering everything together but you can't have everything so I ordered all the other components today and I'll order the CPU on Sunday with free shipping.

Any coupons going as im wanting to buy two ssds and mybe an ivybridge cpu,but only if it will work in my z 68 board :)

If I could get my hands on a coupon would save me about £130-£150. Shame I only log into facebook about once every 2 months so missed the deal :(.
