I cant find any retailers selling any?

also, how long would mayhems Aurora last, and are there any drawbacks for daily use? could I destroy my blocks or anything?

Use black tubing or ruin the blocks you have, its really quite simple. Black nearly always loses colour and ends up looking purple and staining all of your gear its really not worth it.

Tying to remember which thread i was in, I think it was one of the project logs but can't find it. It was about someone saying spoke to Mayhems and said could make a sort of oily black using lots of purple dye with a small amount of yellow - I think thats what it was. I will keep looking and link to it if I find it.

However I don't know what it looks like or if and how much it would stain your rads and blocks having to use that much dye.

Black dye is a mix of Deep purple Dye and yellow Dye.

If you willing to hold on a little OCUK are going to be stocking our whole range this includes dyes and every thing we make.

TO make it is quite simple.

add as deep purple dye to make you liquid in you tube a extreme deep purple. then take the yellow dye and add one drop at a time until you reach the perfect black you need.

The same can be done with pastel pre-mix as well how ever its a lot more tricky and take up to 3x the amount of dye.

Thanks for replying Mlwood.

could you tell me about your aurora galaxy purple, it says it doesnt contain any dye, does that mean it wont stain anything, and how long can i keep it in the system for?

Im sorry i do not know were you have read that "All" Aurora contains dye. We have never said it doesn't. All Mayhems products except for clear version and UV clear blue contain a dye.

I think you maybe mistaken as were working on "X2" which doesn't contain dye how ever that is a long way off form a release date and wont be out for a very long time.

Mayhems is the ONLY coolant i would ever use (after using 5 other brands)....but for colour unless the bling factor is all your after i would just get Mayhems pure :)

Mr wood is one of the mostly highly regarded experts on coolant but for me WC is about function and not looks so i would never put and coloured fluid in my system again. Saying that some of the pastel fluids available at the moment (the white especially) look amazing.

Also, mlwood is always helpful when you do stupid **** with his creations like spill it all over carpets :p

Dyeing liquid is not for every one and we believe in freedom of choice. This is one of the driving forces behind Mayhems and the reason why were trying our hardest to get X2 up and running correctly. What we all so say if you after pure and raw performance go with Water plus biocide, if you after looks then go for colours.

There is a very major split in the market now a days with the purest and the modder. The purest will take on the roll of the modder but will go for the performance benefit of every component in his system, were as the modder looks at his system as a willy waving exercise (this is not a bad thing) and spends more money on the over all looks of there system. Neither are bad ways of water cooling and for me its all ways fun to point out a purest form a modder :) (i do it every day when we get requests for sponsorship).

@Cleeecooo Did you get sorted if not im still willing to help you out :).

I don't know what I am. I've just replaced my perfectly good RAM with some Corsair vengeance for the sheer fact that it has black heat spreaders. that, an asrock z77 extreme6 etc etc just so everything is a stealthy black.

it'll be my first loop though, so I'm scared of bubbles, so I wanted to go with clear piping instead of black.

should I just get black tubing and run the pump for 24 hours or something to remove all fear?
