Be interesting to see if it makes any noticeable difference (more so than the last few generations).

I'm sure the answer is no, but worth a try no? especially if you got a dodgy Chinese ebay special and there is no warranty to void in the first place

Not me. I'm ordering one since I'm coming from a Q9x series and I know that the temps are fine (cool) at 4.6ghz

I can't see why direct core cooling would be a problem seeing as we were all doing that a few years back with the old naked Athlon processors!

People who lap there chips need to open their door, step out, have a walk around and realise there is a world outside. Seriously just stick some paste and a good cooler on it ffs.

More like get a laptop and an xbox. Building your own pc but stopping at lapping does not classify you as normal, you should just suck it up and realise we're in the same crowd as lappers.
