amd Catalyst drivers 12.4 out

I done a test from the games i had installed before the update.

2500k, 7950 overclocked, 5760x1080

Resident Evil 5
12.3 85-86fps
12.4 90-91fps

Crysis warhead
12.3 26fps
12.4 28fps

Bad company 2
12.3 73-74fps
12.4 75-76fps

Skyrim
12.3 51fps
12.4 54fps

Ny 2nd 7970 isn't going to zero power with theese, I can see temp and fan at idle in CCC and before it was blank on 2nd card at idle. Any ideas?

Not liking these.

Reduced performance in BF3 and Deus x compared to 12.3.

your lucky zero power even worked lol, it's never worked for me.

These are the first drivers which just doesn't work with my 7970 CF. I get instant 0x0116 BSOD when launching game if crossfire is enabled.

So using 12.3 for now.

BTW has any1 else noticed better overclocking potential with the 12.4? I was at 950 on the core with my 7950 now im at 1000mhz without any problems. I might try and push it some more.

Which 7950 you got and what settings ya got GPU/memory Vcore etc?
I get Saphire 7950 tomora so will be having a play next week. I have i5 but not overclocked that yet.
Do you get much improvement in gaming fps that would become noticeable? Just wondering if stock sapphire OC would be enough for now at 1920x1080!?

The one problem I am having with ALL drivers so far for my 7970 is crashing/blue screening when on youtube, and getting an AMD driver has stopped working fault, or total lock up.

When was your last OS install? Something happened my PC one day after uninstalling and re-installing drivers using a certain program and my PC kept getting lock-ups whilst sitting idle. Tried loads of drivers and only fix was an OS re-install.

I got the regular sapphire. At stock the 7950 will max anything at 1920x1080.

I've been crashing in BF3 a few times not long into gameplay. Not sure what the reason is but I'm going to roll back a bit for now...

Lol I've had the same when on youtube, blue screen/ AMD display driver stopped working but that happen quite a lot over the months, hope this update stops it.

All these driver problems makes me wonder if I should have stayed with the green side and my GTX460 and holded out a bit longer for Nvideas next throw of the dice. Hope I don't get all these problems cos current card is running fine and get no hiccups at all.

When ever i install CCC onto my computer it crashs my logitech g15 software and doesnt allow it to start on boot up, as soon as i until the CCC and just leave the amd drivers the keyboard software works again :S

I use a Logitech G19 and a mate uses the G15 with no such problems! I suggest you have a conflicting problem elswhere.

I thought 12.4 was suppose to be the great performance set that was stated for BF3, yet it seems nearly everything is malfunctioning from all the responses...
