7970 or GTX 680

Also dont forget that everysingle review is a lie unless it agrees with ALXAndy. Anandtech, Hexus, Hardware Canucks and 95-99% of every other hardware website are wrong because they disagree with ALXAndy. Then when theres 1 out of 100 review sites that agrees with ALXAndy, it must be the truth!

At it again Trig?

You have an awful lot to learn about how the world works it seems.

Lmao. Your experience with the 680 being a leaf blower is?

My reference 680, I can't even hear. If you will advise, at least be fair.

I honestly was trying to be fair. I don't like the reference design fans at all, but know they have a purpose.

Obviously you can speak from experience and I will give you that. But I am just going on the video from people like Linus, showing the noise of both the 7970 and 680 stock coolers, along with the load temps of nearly 80c for both cards. He also tests the 7970 Sapphire OC I have , but it also suffers from the same coil whine I have too.

Just make one yourself from scratch and then none of us can call you a fanboy. :D

Can't comment on how loud the 7970 is as I don't own one but my 680 can not be heard over my case fans. Oh and I have no coil whine.

coil wine is due to the card being under stress and close to or above 200fps, it's perfectly ok, it's all over the web, you can hardly hear it and certainly not inside my pc case, with 2 layers of soundproofing

has anyone noticed how expensive the 7970 Lightning is on Google and yet so cheap here..... i mean really bloody expensive !!!!!

i wonder if i can reserve mine until thursday

Thanks for "giving me that" I will never comment on a 7970 fan noise because I have never owned one. As for coil whine, I have never heard my card make any whine noises.

I understand both cards have had symptoms of this. I am happy to pay for somebody to make me a card cheers ;)
