Hell yea' yea' baby

Sapphire 7950 so I don't feel too far behind with my choice. Then get another when they drop in price prob next month.
Do these offer 120hz over dvi by the way??
I get this on just my GTX460

hi, no i think you made the perfect choice, because the 7970 isn't much faster..on a tv you wont notice this, because you're limited to 60fps anyway

the important point is, right now i'm down to 30 to 45 FPS, plus this is on Medium quality only..... i cant go near high quality any more..... havent been able to for over 3 years!

my tv is 1080p, but Borderlands isn't it's back at 720p and only on medium quality as well..... i took a look at 1080p the other day, it looked great

now DOOM 3 is on full 1080p, but that looks awfall too, it's only the new games that look great on 1080p, but my pc wont let me game at this res, it defaults back down to 720p, simply because my rig is way too old now.

i cant wait to get this new card, gaming has been a nightmare for ages now

i've done quite a bit of research, the 7970oc is about 10 to 15 FPS faster than the 7950 oc, depending on the game...... all the custom 7970s have the potential to OC to the same amount, it's just that they leave the factory different.

the 7950 is faster OC than the 580, but the 7970 slightly slower than the 680....the 680 is of course more expensive, so it's about all even

the 7970 lightning looks like the one to go for
