amd Catalyst drivers 12.4 out

No problems here either.

Using Catalyst 12.4's on 4870, 5850 & 6970 cards, everything running superbly, best drivers so far this year.

All these driver problems makes me wonder if I should have stayed with the green side and my GTX460 and holded out a bit longer for Nvideas next throw of the dice. Hope I don't get all these problems cos current card is running fine and get no hiccups at all.

I have been running amd for years and its mainly a flawless experience as you seem to be having.

I hope Nvidia's 670ti turns out to be a good card cuz AMD have no clue how to get OpenGL working right.. Nvidia have always had good OGL and im just about fed up of AMD and their sh!tty OGL now. I play Second Life which is OpenGL and for years now they have one decent driver for SL every 6 months. 12.1 was fine but since then its still a pile of ****.. im not waiting for 12.6 as i'd rather have a card that has good OpenGL on pretty much every driver release, sick of having to mod the better OGL files into new driver packages.

Heres hoping the 670ti turns out at a good price and performance

The bloody second monitor bug is back from 6 months ago. It just randomly drops the sound playback device for the 2nd monitor/TV forcing you to reboot.

The driver team are beyond useless.

Installed it on 2 x 7970s and I end up with one of the cards staying at idle speeds (500/150) in BF3. Had this on a previous driver as well and ended up doing a clean OS install.

Was lucky to be able to do a system restore back to 12.3 which got me back to working this time. WTF is it with ATI and drivers!?!?!? When they work they're are great but it really shouldn't be this difficult to get it working everytime :(

These made Bf3 reeeealy stuttery for me in Xfire, 12.4 betas are much smoother although frames are a bit worse. I tried 12.5 betas over 12.4 official and ended up having to do system restore to stop the BSOD's.

Well, monitor going into standby with these still hangs my system....

Guess will be giving the 12.5 betas a try.

Edit: Oh yeah, and 1st card seems to be stuck at some odd idle speed of 640MHz
