Hi all,

Need to send a pallet to USA soon and was informed the pallet should be 'heat treated', anyone have any experience sending pallets abroad and if this is true?

I cannot contact my shipping agent until next week so would appreciate any advice,

Cheers,

I would suspect that heat treating the pallet would ensure that any bugs etc in the wood are killed, as the US are very strict on that sort of thing.

It is indeed true. Not just when sending to the US but actually to most countries too.

It's completely true - the pallet should be IPCC stamped and travel with a phytosanitary certificate.
