Does this exist? (Wireless USB extender)

My mouse is quite a ways away from the base unit itself, and I was wondering if there were USB extenders but of the wireless variety. Now I know what you're thinking - 'buy a wireless mouse you bozo', but I love the G400 I'm currently using. It also goes for the 360 controller and various other USB devices I use every now and then.

Basically I'm after a sort of deal where the USB wireless receiver is in the USB slot on the PC and the other end is on the mouse cabling. I'm finding it hard to find anything like that.

I don't think so as it won't have the bandwidth for some devices.

What about a USB extension lead? Same principle as extending a headphone cable but your mouse cable instead.

The 360 controller has a great range. As for the mouse.. you could try looking for a 2.4Ghz mouse, that would have a much longer range.

You can get them, Gefen do one with 4 ports on. They're a snip at $399 though. Assume this is ok to post as OcUK don't sell them:

I believe Icron do a USB over powerline which might work for you as well? They are uber expensive though I think..

Just buy an extension lead. Why does it have to be wireless? If you're using a wired mouse anyway lol

Bluetooth has a massive range if there is line of sight, but put anything at all in the way and it gets into trouble, i have used a keyboard 50 meters from a machine but it does not work well if you put the receiver under the desk 1m away

USB hub is what you want, or even simpler an extension cable
