I hate not having a garage...

And, as always, it's absolutely cracking flags on the Monday after a bitterly rubbish weekend.

Yeah, we only have the shed, but somehow theres now a washing line inside with various clothes hanging on it because, "Ooh it's nice and warm in here!" Then again, I suppose I do have a full catback stainless exhaust system cluttering up the place too... :o

Feeling the pain of not having a garage and driveway since moving from my parents to my flat, the car is always dirty :(

The main feature for when I get a house is garage and driveway!

Can't do anything on the cars where i live at the moment, that includes washing them or vacuuming, due to apartment regulations :( Hopefully will be buying a house in aug/sept and a 2 car garage is on the list.

Still its better than where i lived in Burnley where it was almost impossible to park in front of the house.

Terrace, I bet?

Yup, hated not having a garage, absolutely hated it. Just bought a house with a double garage - I highly recommend it!

I'd be happy with a driveway, having to park my car on the road annoys me :(

Couldn't agree more with this statement, unfortunately we've no space for a garage at present. Our local council refuse to sell me one of their lock ups they've got seconds round the corner from my house but will happily rent me one for £50.00 odd quid per month!

I have a garage, that doesn't fit a car, pointless! It's like it's tempting you in to using it until you realise you could drive in, but you wouldn't be able to get out of the car.

Is it just me or are many of the new house's being built now a days have this feature? You'll see them advertised "With attached garage" which usually means your washing machine / dryer / fridge / freezer is going in there as you've got absolutely no chance what so ever of climbing out of your car should you somehow manage to squeeze it in there!

I wish I had a garage. My car needs a standard service, exhaust and brake change. I would do it all myself if I had a garage space to work in and a place to keep tools. Would also then start a car project or go through a list of cars I have always wanted to own, would have a place to keep them then.

I too hate not having a garage.

Pretty much the same as me. You can drive in and have about a foot of space left on each side - not just the width either it's pretty much the same for the front and back, definately wouldnt get a 5 door saloon in there.

Shows how much bigger cars are these days compared to 20/30 years ago.

Now the garage is full of rubbish - a chair, dvd racks, 2 bikes, books, a lawnmower and a strimmer.

Happy days.

Ahhh the memories[not in a gay way]

You also have a big drive to play with. Not fair.

Damn right more modern stuff is bigger!

I know the following picture is not really a fair comparison as one is a 4 door saloon and the other a 2 door coupe......

Me & My dad also found lack of a garage to be a pain in the bum, therefore we built a rather large one ourselves (just needs an actual driveway now!) Plenty of room in there :D

I love mine. Detached, big enough to get two cars in easily, power, lighting, storage in the eaves, etc. My wife doesn't really understand it but I think it's one of the best bits of the house. I've now started looking at proper storage solutions for tools to start tidying it up.
