Yeah i agree with you about the hawks, ive been very impressed with both them and Indiana this season, I just think with the tweaks the Celtics have made recently they might have enough and the experience to pull through, its gona be tight, and even harder for the Celtics now without Rondo for a game... I cant see him being out for 2.

Same sort of thing with the Knicks really, I thought they could really disrupt the way the Heat play if Chandler can get a good run of games. Shump out and Chandler not fully fit I dont give them much of a hope at all now, I thought they stood a good chance initially tho, and still think they can pull of some big wins in NYC but im not as confident as I was, I did feel sorry for the Knicks tho as the calls were really really stupid on Chandler and ruined any chance of them getting any momentum. Dont get me wrong the Heat more than deserved that win.

Im still pretty confident with the Bulls making atleast the finals, even if we have to play the Heat in the Eastern Conf final I think we can stand a good chance of making it through, we have beat you without Rose this season already I think Newts so fingers crossed ;) , and our record without Rose is still pretty damn good.

Any players impressed you in the playoffs so far Newts??

With LeBron in the man possesed mode he is in, Udonis stepping it up on the D boards and Wade and Bosh fit I think we will beat you. Be a great game though but I can see you having a tough one against either of Celtics/Hawks before you reach us without Rose fit.

Bit tough after only one game but three who have stood out for me are;

Bynum (Lakers) 10 pts 10 blks 13 rbds. A sexy triple double he was a complete beast on the D.
Josh Smith (Hawks) 22pts and 18 rbds. He was a leader for them against Boston.
LeBron (Heat) 32 pts. Dominated the court he was everywhere and even managed to sit out the fourth, BEAST!
 
Looking forward to Heat and the Bulls game.

Expect a close one at Phille with no Rose, especially of Iggie plays up. Heat should dominate again but will be interesting to see if the square can provide the Knicks with a backbone they lacked in Miami.

We've had no problem beating them this year with both Rose and Rip out, Deng does a pretty good job of breaking down Iggys game. The 1st round doesnt worry me at all!! ;) I think the only game we have lost to them this year was when we had Rose and Rip in the game, but that was still an unfamiliar lineup at the time so it wasnt so bad.

Who stood out for you after first round rich?
 
Tony Parker against the Jazz, he seemed to be playing harder and getting to the line a tittle more and had a great all around game, but then on reflection thats the 3rd game in a row that hes got to the line 10 times in a game against Utah, and scored 23 pts or more so maybe he just knows how to play them real well. Never the less he still impressed me.

Bynum like you said he was a beast on defence and with an opening game like that Kobe must be pretty fired up and thinking he can get another ring. I think it was the 10 blocks and only picking up 1 personal that impressed me more than the triple double.

Nick Young It was his outside shooting that gave the Clippers the win last night, he looked like a huge big time player, more impressed as it was in Memphis, and it was his 1st playoff game since the 1st round during his rookie season in 07/08.

LeBron had a good all around game with afew nice steals.

Josh Smith, hes been putting up some HUGE numbers on the points and boards this year, and he kept his head, and only picked up 1 foul I think, he is capable of more but his numbers usually go down in the playoffs so it was a good start by him.

A big follow up jam on Battier I think it was, said something and got a technical. Didn't seem to be anything though because there was no reaction from any Heat players. Just more ref bs.

yeah, i only seen the highlights, looked like the Thunder got under the Mavs skin early on and stressed out Dirk. Mavs are more than able to mount a comeback and prelong this series tho, definatly gona watch game three f this one, the 1s game was good too. I think we should start a "PLAY KELENNA" thing going, that could be what the Mavs need to get the extra 2 and 3 points that they need!! Might have to spam twitter during the next game and see if they give in to public pressure and offer him game time, like the Scal at the Bulls!!

Fancy a close one personally though as you say the Bulls do tend to step up when Rose us missing.

Literally no point in watching the teams in the eastern conference, Miami Heat should easily get to the finals. Chicago losing Rose is huge, Magic losing Howard, Knicks losing the best defender they have..

Western conference matchups have been far more entertaining
 
I suppose you could say that the Western match ups are more entertaining, out of the 8 teams in the western playoffs 7 of them have a leakier defence than the leakiest defence in the Eastern playoffs so I suppose it makes for more open match ups.


Philli v Bulls, Noah is beastly, hes breaking ankles out there with his little shake moves!!!

WOW HUGE 3rd quarter by the 76ers, nothing to do with Rose we just aint defending
