5870 to 7850

Really got the urge to replace my 5870 1GB (I have a friend buyer for £90 who wants to crossfire with theirs) and get the HIS 7850 IceQ X deal. I mainly play BF3 and whilst the stock FPS is not much better according to Anadtech, the 2GB VRAM and clockability makes it seem a really nice cheapish upgrade. The power draw is a lot less and it is also a lot quieter. What makes it better is that I was going to fit a Gelid Icy Vision to my 5870 to allow some overclocking, which I can now pass on for £20+ when I decide to sell it, as I have not yet fitted it.

£75 outlay to me all in. Deal or no deal?

The 7850 can be clocked to almost 7950 speeds! There is a thread on here somewhere where someone has breached the overclock limits

Deal, not bad price your getting for your 5870, might as well take the money while it has some worth.

Cheap upgrade, could be lucky and get 7950 performance with decent gains from overclocking.
