Are these parts compatible and are they any good, my budget is under £700.

Hi,

Get a Z77 motherboard to allow full overclocking, also a i5 3570K is very similarly priced to a i5 2500K, so makes sense to get the newer chip.

Also, I would go for this PSU and consider going for a powerline networking kit instead of wifi (for faster transfer speeds and lower lag).

The Ivy Bridge CPUs do get hot quicker - though if you are using decent cooling they you should still be able to hit similar overclocks. Also the performance-per-clock is 5-10% higher - so better overall performance (plus you get nice stuff like PCIE gen3 and more powerful onboard graphics core for Quick Sync).
