If im right i think they would have enough space for 2 phantoms and all fairly close to each other in price and from what i read are very decent boards. I may be wrong on the fact they will take 2 tri slot cards, but im sure someone with more experience than me will comment.

All of those would work, I would opt for the UD5 mind given what I have seen :)

I would also recommend the Gigabyte GTX 680 Windforce 3x. That cooler is really cool and quiet - plus it isn't as massive as the Phantom and Gigabytes warranty is great.

The reference ones are already pretty quiet to be fair. So beware of paying too high a price premium for what in truth is going to be minimal difference.

But the Gigabyte Windforce are a good bet. The ASUS Direct CU II are also good.

Those Asus Direct CUII are triple slot

Gainward Phantoms do fit in SLI, although its tight - as can be seen from this shot of my 560ti Phantoms.

Of course, the 680 Phantom heatsink cover may protrude more than that on the 560.

I just installed my reference Gigabyte 680 tonight and compared to my previous card, an Asus 460 Direct CU II Top 768, (which was very quiet already), it's the same noise at idle and a fair bit quieter under load which is pretty impressive considering how much more powerful it is too.

Amazingly quiet for a reference card.

Would the evga 2gb FTW 680 be quieter than the reference one? After gaming on my 5870 yesterday, and hearing it about to take off when the temps maxed at 90.5, I'm starting to think its time for a new GPU! The PC is right by my mouse on the desk so I can hear it very clearly. I'm liking the looks/specs of the FTW model so may get that if it's good, cool and quiet.
