Corsair TX850 PSU - Loud

I just setup a system with this PSU, it's stupidly noisy. Louder than any other PSU I have had before, It seems that the Fan on it runs full blast constantly. Even when the system is idling.

Is this normal ? or is there a way to control the fan ?

There should be some control, I have the 750w version and never hear the fan.

Sadly you might have a faulty sensor.

Thanks for the responses.

Any suggestions on what replacement I should get, there are no more TX850's available atm.
Looking for something in same power range, good quality, and quiet - at least when idle.

My 850 is also extremely quiet. I'd guess your one has a faulty fan or controller and needs RMAing.
