So he's doing it just to have people look at him, is that the point?
There's words for that sort of thing, and none of them are very nice.
Still looks pretentious.

I thought we as motor enthusiasts would love to own a car that turned heads. I was only just read Fox's American trip where he wrote up on the Mustang he had, and he seemed pleased and surprised it got attention from people...
The specific R8 is going to turn heads, and people will drop their jaws!
An RS6 unfortunately is an A6 with big wheels (to the unsuspecting eye) unless you are a car enthusiast...

So what you're saying is an RS6 would impress a car enthusiast, while the R8 will impress those who don't know any better?![]()
I read it that way aswell.
Unfortuantely people buy R8's to pose, as they are bling bling.
People buy RS6's to go fast not to pose, so they serve a purpose which car enthusiasts appreciate.
Buying an R8 for bling is gay, especially gay with a silly roof rack on top.
So you could put it on a more suitable car?
Yes like a Transit van
How would a transit can fare on the snow? I'd be a bit concerned about the high centre of mavity on those mountain roads.
I wonder which of us can out-facetious the other.

OcUK is rife with the assburgers.

OcUK is full of opinionated geeks who love to argue.

Surely the R8 is more fun to drive?
We have a telepath in the house![]()

that's just your opinion![]()
JO's car is a bit bling bling but it promotes his brand and definitely gets more PR than a transit van would![]()
Thread length and nature of replies backs that view up.
Guy can do what he wants, people can hate, people can love it.
That's it!
Agreed - too much critiscm goes on in this place.

Proven by the fact that until I saw a thread on a motoring forum about his car I'd never even heard of the guy.
