Guild Wars 2

They just replied this back

Should I close the dispute and see if they refund?

OMG the cheek! CJS need burning with torches and stabbing with pitchforks.

They refunded mine right as soon as I opened a dispute.

They are just making themselves look worse.

I don't even understand what they mean. They are saying it's between paypal now but it's not, I haven't escalated the dispute so surely like it says on PayPal it's still between me and the supplier?

The agent you're speaking to is just being a tool, if CJS choose to resolve the PayPal dispute the refund appears immediately in your PayPal balance. They've flagged it as refunded at their end but haven't actually done anything yet.

I'm still in limbo with my refund... Well I didn't technically get a refund I got an overpriced Diablo 3 order and then a message offering it me for £32..... Wish i had paid through PayPal. :(

We tried to refund you but you opened a dispute. Now we cannot refund you.

You opened a dispute.

Now speak with PayPal

Your key will be cancelled.

They are saying this which is confusing because on PayPal it says the dispute is still between me and the company. Really unsure where to go as they have to agree to refund otherwise nothing will actually happen xD

I'd leave it and let paypal deal with it, as if you close it you haven't got any movement at all they can just give you store credit.

I would contact your credit card company and let them know whats going on if they don't refund.

TBH it is more polite and proper to just request a refund from them directly before going to PayPal to dispute them. If you dispute a payment with PayPal that business will come under all sorts of investigation and ill-repute with a money service that they probably rely on for a large portion of their daily transactions. If you could sort it civilly, why open a serious dispute with the money authority? It's just a bit rude. Not that I blame you, CJS have really dropped the ball on this one. But that's probably why they're being a bit short with you.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, Got a while until the next beta anyway, still I wish they would't be difficult over something that could be solved so simply but ow well

I know they have messed us all around but you should have gone to them first rather than opening a dispute. It has worked for others on here, but i thought i'd go through them and although they messed me around a first they quickly caved in.

As you have already opened a dispute, you may aswell leave it open as once it's closed your buggered.

Well it was simple until you opened a dispute, which has obviously angered them as now multiple people have gone down that route which will make paypal take a look at them.

Yeah, I mean CJS have messed up but you can't entirely blame them 100% as being dishonest or untrustworthy. Maybe they just bought their keys from a dodgy supplier and didn't have a clue. A mistake, certainly, but not a dishonest business. With loads of PayPal disputes they are going to be investigated, without doubt, and PayPal may actually refuse to continue doing business with them (it's a lot of hassle for PayPal to refund and reverse a transaction). That would really hit CJS's entire business.

I have on this occasion as they were a lot more cooperative when I said I would think about closing the dispute done that after getting them to agree to a full non store credit refund and taken enough evidence to back this up if needed. Hopefully they will honor this and refund me. I guess this is what you get for trying to be cheap and going for the cheaper keys xD

Yep instant refund offered after that :), overall like said I don't think they are the bad guys, just a company trying to defend their name after this Guild Wars fiasco

Paypal pretty much assumes that when you raise a dispute with them it is because you have allready attempted to contact the seller of the items and they didnt resolve the problem.

If you dont attempt to deal with the seller first when paypal contacts the seller regarding the dispute they are then told that you never brought up any issues with them and that leaves you in a weaker position with paypal as the seller had not been given a chance to resolve it themselves.

I've had the `Refunded` response.

Just waiting to actually see the money get refunded to my Credit Card now.

Tbh, it'd be a ****er for CJS if they've been stung by a supplier who's been dodgy with sourcing the keys, but it'll be a lesson learnt for the young lad who runs it to check his sources 1st.
