I have to be the nay sayer on the Billion, it's a nice router but it's QOS handling is poor so if you need qos ie combine streaming and gaming there are better options.
I have a netgear 3700 v2 loaded with gargoyle, funnily enough plugged into a netgear 834 (set up as modem only). Whole family can be streaming and I still get stable pings which wasn't occurring when I had the billion.
I sold my billion but I noticed one gargoyle user had set his billion up to be the gateway to a with gargoyle to handle the routing![]()
Not sure how you configured yours but mine handles Streaming, VoIP, gaming and general web exactly how I tell it to. It's not QoS if it's internet traffic, that's bandwidth limiting.
Consumer ADSL lines have no support for QoS.
