I thought it was:
Male 17 + Female 14 = statutory rape
yes, im 99.9% sure if both are underage is called 'underage sex' if one party is over the legal age its RAPE!!

I don't often agree with you, but I have to admit - you are right on this. Why does having sex at that age mean that they had a poor upbringing, are stupid and low class? I had sex at 13, my parents weren't irresponsible in the slightest, I come from a middle class family, went to one of the best schools in Scotland, yadda yadda. It's your outdated, ignorant views which result in so many teenage pregnancies and the like. If people stopped treating sex as some sort of massive taboo never to be spoken about, then people would make sensible, informed choices and not shy away from speaking to their parents about it. Combine this with the easy access to condoms in the home, from responsible parents, and you will lower the teenage pregnancy rate/rising STI rates.
im 99.9% sure its called 'underaged sex' and not rape. it still carries a custodial sentance (but rarely dished out) but is not classed as rape.

but again, did she leave it for them
As mentioned, the only rule she has broken is not getting the girls mother's permission to drink alcohol. (she would not have given permission had she known it would be unsupervised)I fail to see why the law should or would be involved in this.
I'm sure you would feel the same if it was your barely 13 year old daughter this happened to. You would be all 'thats great' would you?lol, and what? The only problem here was the lack of protection, i was having sex at this age, not really a big issue?

Personally I don't see what the big deal is. Yes they are only 13 but they made the choice to get drunk and have sex and if any of them regret what they did or get insulted for what they did then perhaps it will serve as a warning for the future.
To those guys who lost their cherries at such a young age, would you be happy with your 13 year old daughter doing the same as long as she was responsible?
but they made the choice to get drunk
Is that actually a law though?
Well if this happens to be how she lost her virginity, coupled with her new status at school, this could have a very unfortunate impact on how she grows up and her views on sex in general.
Also noticing a distinct lack of women boasting about having sex at 13.
Maybe not such a glorious experience for them.
Yes, but they only made that choice after being supplied with the alcohol from the mother.

People complain about children losing their innocence too early, then say it's fine for 13 year olds to have sex because they did themselves.

Yes, at 13 years old a boy is awash with hormones and urges, surely NOT giving in to them when it is all new is the best way to avoid irresponsible actions.
